Am I having dejavu or haven't you already listed this wish a while ago.

You know...once you post you can go back and edit if you find something wrong with it. Personally, I prefer that to more steps to posting (Yahoo! answers does the preview, and it drives me nuts). But that's just me.

Sorry, AB, if you have mentioned this before here. I'm not one to search if i have no memory of it. Razz And even then...

I edit my posts all the time...it is just that I cannot seem to read my post as well (and catch spelling/grammar errors) in the fixed-width font text areas that we write our posts in as when they are live. I like the sites that have both a 'post' and 'preview' button so accommodate various posting styles.

What an emanently suitable idea, I'm with you there. Not just errors either. Some thoughts (written) could be improved by re-phrasing.

Have a nice day, Whistler.

The preview sounds like a good idea -- I'd prefer to correct my mistakes pre-post rather than post-post.

On the topic of error reduction, is there any chance of adding spell check to the posting window?

Two things...

1. I've asked Groupee, the folks who host the boards for us, and they don't have a post preview function. I've passed this feature request on to our able tech crew, who have too many other things to do at the moment, so it's unlikely to happen anytime soon. Rest assured, however, that it's been put in the suggestion box.

2. Before static gets here, let me remind you that if you are browsing with Firefox's newest version, there's a spell-checker built in. It's hella cool. Except that it doesn't like the word "hella," apparently.
