For those of you who had reported having problems with the chat room in the new Mac OS, I got this note from Groupee (which had said they were passing the info on to their developers some time ago so it could be fixed):
quote:
I wanted to let you know that this issue has been fixed in the update that will be deployed to all of our servers beginning tonight at 8pm Pacific Time.
This was in a message dated Feb. 19th, so please lemme know if anyone's still having trouble. Many thanks.

It's been acting up again this morning.
Groupee is working on moving the forum software to a new server with a different configuration that should combat the error they are currently seeing happen. Last I heard from them this afternoon is that they were hoping it would be switched tonight.

*ahem* Are you mocking me, Stoo? I think you're really just jealous of all of my "internet friends"; as you should be.
Just because you can't even find someone on the net willing to chat with you doesn't mean you have to be snarky about it.
Back to official type things... the boards were giving me that 503 or whatever message a little bit ago as I was rushing to give Stoo the smackdown. (I'm bored at work, ok?)

Continental Op found this useful article which helps explain what the problem could be for Mac users, and potential workarounds. Check out this article: QuickTime update breaks Flash websites (for some)
More discussion of it over here on the Apple boards.
