I had a thought, not sure good or bad, but nonetheless would like to post it. A lot of people generally ask about how much does such and such flight cost...or what would be a good deal to go to x place. A lot of us post and help them out, but very few seem to refer to bootsnall and their international airfare page. I assume that people would check it, and would hope since it is very easy to use and often have good deals.
My thought is "why doesn't boots have someone respond to these claims with an initial price they can offer?"
I mean im sure there are lots of reasons why not; showing their cards on a deal, you want people to call up, prices change don't want to be be quoted on a price and so many people request and ask about things like this it would take so much time... and such and such...but in this growing age of technology and being able to do everything from your computer, i think that it could be more beneficial if people could book flights thru bootsnall on the website. Now im not sure what benefits bootsnall more, booking thru them by calling or thru their website offering providers (really none of my business)...but if it is more beneficial to book thru boots directly by calling up, i think that there should be a similar function online...like you guys offer deals by destination and it always says to call for the quote, personally that is more effort then im willing to put in...I like to work from the computer...and i dont like waiting on the phone, sometimes hard to hear etc...
So i guess im calling for two things: a way to book international tickets thru bootsnall in the most beneficial way to the website and 2 maybe a forum specifically for airfare questions...maybe within the forum have threads breaking down each major area (by continent and then maybe for europe do the london and ireland thing)...this way all of the airfare questions would be funneled through a forum and maybe bootsnall people could spend a little time each day perusing and seeing what people are asking about and maybe giving a little help hopefully encouraging people to go through bootsnall....cause most times the deals look great, but then there is caveat when I call...taxes, not nonstop etc...but if all that was accessible to me when i initially checked i could be more inclined to book the international airfare thru you guys...
I, for one, would like to see Dave post "Killer fare deal of the day" when special, limited time offers pop up.
Let's say that for some reason NWA has a unusually low MSP to BKK fare for the following Wednesday. Sure, few of us could take advantage of it, but we all like to dream.
(By the way, for those who don't know, Dave is the 'brains' behind BNA)

I'll certainly remind you of it, Sean (note made) - and I'd also suggest that Bob would be a great candidate to know of the deals you're talking about, Joe. He writes for our Cheap Ticket Links and the Europe Cheap Ticket blogs, and is always finding great deals. Just a thought.
After talking with Sean today, I'm going to be posting deals as I see them on Cheap Ticket Links and Europe Cheap Ticket Links, and I encourage anyone who finds a deal - or who has ways of finding great deals - to do the same. I'll be posting them in the appropriate destination forum for wherever the flight is going to. So, for instance, if there's a great deal between the US and Buenos Aires, I'll post that in the South America forum. Keep an eye out for them!
On second thought, and with help from the mods, I've decided instead to make a sticky thread in the BootsnAll Travel Resources forum, where I can post deals as I see them and anyone else can do the same. To make sure you don't miss a deal, you can set up notifications for that thread.
