I wrote a load of articles that appeared on BNA but I've noticed that the older ones have disappeared from the site. I don't know why this is the case, but it is such a pity as some of the stuff actually gets referenced by other people on other sites and in books. For instance, an early piece by me, "Pancake Overload," is referenced in a new book: "Raj Rhapsodies: Tourism, Heritage and the Seduction of History" (Ashgate Publishing, UK) by Carol E. Henderson and Maxine Weisgrau. They refer to the link to the article, which no longer exists. On a personal level, its pretty good to be referenced in such a publication, but it can do no harm for BNA also.

Type in "Chasing Rainbows in Chennai" on Google and it should appear of page four of the search.

The original link was:

CT - this article is still here. The URL you are using as 2 "l" characters, when it should be ones.

Here's the article:

OK Mikal. Thanks for pointing that out. It appears as two "l" characters in their book. They got it wrong. However, I also did a site search for "pancake overload" and nothing came up and it never appeared under a search for my name. That's why I say a lot of stuff seems to have disappeared.

I'm not sure why that's not working - the site search is powered by Google and their regular search finds it just fine. Weird...

I'll see if someone can't look into it but it could just be a google bug.

Colin,

You have probably checked here. A while ago Court and crew migrated many of the old articles to the new format. Some articles may have been overlooked or lost. Ask the BnA crew if the old server is still around.

Sean, I think most of them are there, perhaps five or six have gone (can't recall everything I submitted). But as long as the bulk are there that's OK.
