So, I had my first opportunity to tag a thread. I was so excited! I squeeled like little pig, I did.

It doesn't work. I started a thread, but forgot to tag it. Tried to be a good boy and went back to the first post of the thread several times. The "Tag Box" opens up below the post, I put them in, re-post...

But nothing. Three times. Tags don't work. Tags suck. Boo.

(And I won't even go into the *ahem* epidemic of tag abuse that's going on around here...)



P.S./ADDITION: Aha! I'm thinking you've disabled it entirely. I put tags in this one right from the start and they don't appear. Damn Tag abusers! As bad as tweakers...

I see tags on this post... Did you not do that? Did some meddling moderator do that after you posted this? (I'm not naming names, or anything, of course.) I've had some experiences where the tags don't seem to work for a minute - for no reason at all - and then later they work just fine. Usually they work for me.

Hmmm, dat be weird. Cause I just edited your post and saw that tags were there. Then I resaved the post and tags are showing.

Lemme see what else I can drum up on this.

Why the hell did I just bother to read the little "Tag Primer" to see if I was doing something wrong? I tried to put tags in this, they didn't show up. The tags that do appear - now - are not from me, but at least that kind person corrected my spelling.

I tested it and everything seems to be working okay for me. Maybe try another new post and see if you can tag that. What browser & OS are you using?

Strage. I think I figured out the problem. I type too well. I was initial using caps. So I went back to this one, and edited the tags that *ahem* someone had added, re-entered a couple with no caps. At first the old tags remained, so I was ready to give up.

But THEN....when YOU (and perhaps anyone) added a post to this thread, it refreshed them and the tags I put in appear now. Maybe somehow an additional post within a thread refreshes it(?), while hitting "refresh" on the browser doesn't? I didn't know you couldn't use caps. Doesn't say that in your primer. And I'm tag-dumb.

I'm on a Mac, Safari, OSX 10.3.9 or something in that neighborhood. Go ahead. Laugh.
