I totally hate the new-look Boots. The colours hurt my eyes and I can't bare to keep looking. The blue was so restful on the eyes, and all this white makes the whole damned thing look like a bunch of washed aout laundry.

And I don't like the layout at the top either. And the writing is hard to see, and I have to squint.

And the writing is too small.

Please change it back or at lerast do something to fix this unholy lot. Mad

Crikey, even the picture page is lousy colouring.

Sorry Slip, but youd did say comment here.

It's been a few days, and I am totally used to it. Changing the white would still be nice, but it's bearable.

i am not seeing any green. Kind of a khaki/dark beige, but no green.

I can't decide if I have just gotten used to it, or if the boof heads in Portland have rolled back the green a little.

The boof heads in Portland have not changed anything yet. You must be adapting, Joe.

Whistler, the size of the text has not changed at all. Which part exactly are you finding hard to read?

Yes, new link colours and an off-white background to the alternate posts.

This time I have to say hard on the eyes - not enough contrast.

Yeah...the new link colors are a little difficult. Did they change today?

[minority opinion...I liked the blue]

Just to prove how impossible a job this is, I find the new unvisited link colour infinitely better. For me it actually helps the whole thing.

The unvisited is great. The visited, though, on my computer, renders almost the same color as the tan. It kind of just blends together.

Maybe it's just my eyes or computer. After all, I never saw this green everyone was talking about.

Every screen is different. Websafe colors have a bit more reliability, but really color + image changes per screen.

On my work computer the alternating background color is a pleasant pale spring green. At home, the same color is khaki. And also a little darker.

BnA webfolk: maybe test a darker brown for the visited links? The lighter brown doesn't bother me, but perhaps a slightly darker (but still neutral -- don't pick a reddish brown) would be better?

Is the blue even lighter now? I think these colors could work if they were all darker.

Thankyou Static, when I do this the ads on the right hand side move onto the post and cut a swathe over it effectively cutting the post in two. Result, the writing is covered up.

We'll forget about the bare bit. :-)LOL

Hydro, the writing appears to be a very washed out looking grey wheras on the blue boards, the writing was nice and dark. Even with my glasses I am squinting (and that causes wrinkles). Could you somehow make the writing a nice dark colour please?

On the pop-up window for posts, the little squiggly things at the top are very pale. The white background is glary and a harsh stark white. It tends to give me a headache. Sorry peoples but it does. My eyes get tired very quickly looking at it.

(But I still like you all) LOL Rock Out

Hi Whistler. I'm afraid I still don't know which part of the page you're referring to that you're calling 'writing'. All text, besides links, is in black so I can't make that any darker.

If you can take a screenshot of what you're seeing, perhaps that will make it clearer for me.

I really don't understand how white is so incredibly bright to you guys. Do you never go outside? How do you feel about sunlight?

Me thinks BnA is frequented by too many vampires.

Hi to you too Hydro, thanks for your patience. When I say writing, I mean what people have posted. When I read their posts, the text! that's it the text is grey and the stle of letters is different. When I read what I'm in the middle of writing, the style of letters is different to the style of letters that gets posted up on the forum.

What's a screenshot please? Thanks. Paranoid Dance

Then I am completely baffled. The font or style of letters and the colour of the text and the size of the text has not changed at all.
