When one edits a poll OP the tags are cleared.

Yeah, we knew that one, actually. I'll add it to the list to see if anything can be done in version 2.0, but I kind of doubt it. If a poll is edited in any way, even before tags existed, after there have already been responses to the question, the responses are erased.

OK, I think I might be able to redeem myself here. I have found another bug: a simple character encoding problem with thead-list-by-tag pages.

E.g.: a ü turns out all funny on boards.bootsnall.com/zurich

The thead-list-by-tag page folders sometimes clash with existing stuff, like the 'eve' forum software and the new stats page. Click the 'eve' or 'stats' tag links in my OP to see what I mean. Not sure how many other directories that might clash with, but...

Are you sure it is not your book mark? When you click it, what is the URL? Sounds like 'user error' to me

User error is definitely a possibility with me in general ... but I'm pretty sure I would not really ever bookmark this thread.

I can cope - I'm not really seeking a solution - just found it weird enough to comment. Even weirder if it is just me!

It was starting to feel like some kind of bad dream ... bootsnall reduced to just one thread, and a thread about tags!

Maybe though it proves Stoo was right about some glitch. I don't know how or if my bookmark changed, but I have re-bookmarked.

I didn't use my own bookmark -- I cliecked on the Forums link on the BnA home page! Definitely not user error for me (although I'm perfectly capable of it).

on another note, whenever i click on travel forums i get taken to a thread named "tags" and that is it

Yeah, that's kind a big mistake. The technical explanation:
The boards have always been a boards.bootsnall.com/eve. But the tagging system causes a list of appropriately tagged threads to come up when you go to boards.bootsnall.com/[insert tag here].

So, as soon as someone tagged a thread with "eve", all hell broke loose and old links to the main board page led to a list of threads tagged "eve".

Either the tagging system needs to be changed, or all bookmarks, and particularly the link on the main BnA site, needs to be changed to go to boards.bootsnall.com/eve/forums.
