Um, what?

Edit: The original topic that I responded to was titled, "My Candy Ain't Foreign."

Now it's called "My Joe Louis ain't foreign."

I suppose that should clear up the mystery for me, but I'm a little slow.

Hmm...I consider Canada technically to be foreign. I looked up the definition of foreign, "3. external to one's own country or nation." Since BNA is based in the USA, Canada is external.

Unless you would like to claim Canada is the 51st state. Then your MoonPie knock offs wouldn't be foreignWink

The forum I moved your thread to is about food as it relates to travel. People do, on occasion, travel to Canada. And while there, they do, on occasion, eat. Wink

What I'm sayin' is that it was a thread about food, and we've got a food forum, so why not put it there?

Fair enough on the Forum move. I just never saw this site as an "AMERICAN!" site before. That's all I was saying. If the US decides to become our eleventh province, all this could change. We could stop all that messy fighting, for one thing.

My dear, if you'll notice in the food forum, there are also threads dedicated to "American" foods, too. Because (like Canada), people sometimes travel to the US, as well. Smile

Oh, Kegstand. I'm embarrassed for you for even posting that.

I snooped around a little bit, there are American Food threads. One, anyways. But Piecar, your point is well made. You were sensing a bit of anti-Canadian sentiment, something that I've noticed myself from time to time. Jealousy that Canadians are the premier posters, methinks. Bringing wit and thoughtfulness along with a razor-sharp intellect. Something that the mouth-breathers from other countries can never hope to duplicate. Just struggle on and rise above it.

Oh, I'm used to the Anti-Canadian sentiment. It goes back to that burning down the White House thing. It's messing with Canadian chocolate baked goods that irks me. And do they ever thank us for basketball down there? No. 54-40 or my finger.

Truthfully though. Blazdell and GoNorth and whalewatcher and you and SkyAnnie...Just foreigners with exotic treats.

I was a bit irked by that move, too. Not the move so much as the:

Thanks to the (appropriately-named) Overwaitea supermarket in Salmon Arm, BC, I have now relished the sugary goodness of a Jos. Louis cake.

Salmon Arm. Very nice. Hometown of three major American Pornstars and the old Overwaitea. Nice work Joe. Did you enjoy the delicious goodness? Were you fishing? Did you seek out the fabled treat, or was it kismet?

I was not in Salmon Arm this time 'round, I had my Canadians smuggle that box over the border, along with an entire box of

I would personally like to claim the state of Texas as foreign. Nothing against it, I lived there for a short time. But I still think it classifies as foriegn Big Grin

As for Jos Louis', they're very good. I personally prefer the swiss rolls.
