I was just wondering if it's possible to have clickable page numbers for multi-page threads listed on the main forum page? As it is now, clicking the thread title takes you to the first page, and you can click your desired page from there. Seems like a very minor thing, but for those of us with slow Internet service who spent absurd amounts of time browsing BootsNAll every day, it sure adds up.

Would this be feasible?

After consulting with those who are far more tech savvy than I, it seems that, at the moment, the answer to this question is no. If threads are quite large, say, more than just a few pages, all of those individual pages would start to really clutter up the main forum pages.

A great example of this is the Introduce Yourself thread -- at 79 pages and growing, one can imagine how unwieldy that would be on the main Members Forum page.

Slow connections are the worst -- I am certain that a three- legged hamster with a bad case of gout runs my computer. It takes ages to load anything, so I just multi-task while I wait.

Not sure if this makes a difference, but I'm envisioning something like this:

Don't Be Shy - Introduce Yourself Here 1 2 ... 79

...similar to the way the clickable page numbers are set up for the forum pages in general. I know less than nothing about website management, so I'm not sure if that's doable either.

Thanks for the reply!

You can also click on the name of "last replied" and scroll up.
That's what I do, at least. Or, you can go to the first page and hit the page number from there.

I like how the boards on TelevisionWithoutPity work...once I log in, when I go into a forum, it jumps to the end of the last message I read. It's a nice feature.

That may require a totally different program, which I am hesitant to advocate much after the last time there were issues with the forums (I didn't know what to do with myself!).

Whaaaat? Clicking on the name of the last poster takes you to the last page of the thread? I guess I always assumed that took you to the user's profile. Well, problem very much solved. Thanks, anniebanannie!
