Here's an idea that may have some merit, I think.

Would it make sense to have ONE sticky thread comprised of all the tips and tricks regarding shopping for plane tickets?

Since plane tickets are always a topic, and always will be, it would be cool if there was one place where everyone included their favorite links to websites, tips, etc. A lot of people have a lot of handy tools and info *coughJoe EhrilchcoughBraslvr*, but I'm sure get tired of answering the same questions over and over.

Maybe (try to anyway) limit the posts to just those that include links or tips or handy tools?

And Tortuga, I was more suggesting a thread with links and tips that were permanently useful, not "today's deal" type stuff. And if $4941 is such a great deal from Philly to Paris, it must suck to live in Philly! (Just kidding, but that typo was difficult to resist. )

The thing is, I don't have any particularly useful tips or tools. I was hoping to benefit from the experience and knowledge of everybody else. That's the other thing that makes this idea genius.

Still, I'll give it a go after lunch.
