I know I am truly a golden oldie (or whatever we old booties are now known as). In the good old days, we used to submit our articles and photographs to Ant, later to Nick and now we have this nameless, faceless online submission format, which I cannot figure out how it works.

I try and upload and it crashes. I seriously am either IT challenged or very impatient. No wonder, then, that I have written for my favourite travel website since ages.

I am now going away for a few days and it promises to be an exciting journey. The issue remains - how will I share my tales with the Booties.

You're not the only one IT challenged Dusty.

I was just thinking the other day about some of the terminology used in threads of this forum and was tempted to start one saying that we could do with some Boots tutorials.

Anyway, for now just write your story up as a thread in the Asian destination forum and maybe seeing as India is not so much asia as Thailand and surrounds, perhaps we should also suggest another forum for India and sub continent.

Look forward to reading of your weekend or whatever in the wilds of India fighting off tigers, rogue elephants and death adders.

Perhaps Hydro or Sean can comment more, but I think the volume of submissions demanded a change in how things were handled. There is now a 'team' of editors who 'review' articles and publish. Court used to chair this team, but I don't know who chairs it now. I suspect Hydro.

Hi Dusty, I've PM'ed you about the submission form to see what we can do to get it behaving the way it should for you.

Yes - the old way was super fun in talking with the authors - but is took FOREVER to publish an article.

Thanks for letting us know Dusty - the new system "should" be easier - sorry that it ain't so far - I think Chris will make sure that it gets better and your feedback will help us.

A agree with Dusty that there needs to be a little bit more user friendly way of submitting articles and photos. My little essay on the travel cafe appeared with half the story missing though I thought it was all there when originally submitted. Technology is only good when it works for everyone.

And I think I'm becoming one of those "Old Soles," as well.
