I can't remember if you had to give a nationality when you open a forum account. If so it would be interesting to see the breakdown of nationalities on this board, it seems membership is weighted towards USA though not overwhelmingly. I have used other boards that show this statistic.

You don't have to put a nationality in when you register, there's only that "Location" field (which many people use to put stuff like "in front of the computer"), so as far as I know there's no way to get location data for people just by using the application forms. Whether there's a more behind-the-scenes or tech-y way to do it, however, I don't know.

This subject has come up before. We can track membership by IP , but we have chosen not to display as to respect privacy. Membership with BnA is primarily North American. Although we do have members from around the world. |

Yeh I realise you can track IP on forums, though IP does not necessarily relate to nationality (I may be english but I could be logging in from anywhere).
But I get your point on privacy. |
