Hey whats up guys,

This is my 1st post. I actually heard about this cool site from a friend of mine.

Anyways, can someone give me some fine information on which country they would consider the best for me to go on vacation in the Caribbean.

I'm a 24 year old male and I will be traveling with a few buddies of mine. We like to party and have fun.

I would like to go somewhere, where the people are great, nice culture, great food, and just a great vibe.

Since you are Canadian you have the option of going to Cuba, which despite its poverty has amazing history, culture, and music. I would avoid the Bahamas, it can be a little pretentious. You might prefer one of the smaller boutique islands like St Maarten/St Martin, Aruba, Martinique. They tend to have smaller, higher class resorts, excellent shopping and beautiful beaches. I am big island lover so there is also a huge selection of private islands and small private island resorts in the Caribbean available for rent. These destinations give a really authentic Caribbean experience. Just google private islands and that would direct you to some good sites.

I was actually about St.Martin or Aruba aswell.

I just returned from Jamaica (Negril) last night.

Even though it is touted as one of the "cheaper" islands, it actually turned out to be a budget traveler's nightmare. Nice place, and you can fly/stay for cheap, but once you get there prepare to bleed money!
