hey all, a few of my friends were lookin to do a long weekend somewhere in the caribbean for the last weekend in may, maybe jamaica. any suggestions for a short and inexpensive trip to the islands? thanks!

i would definately suggest going down to south jamaica around negril. you can hit the 7 mile beach and party with the locals at night and do some adventuring through the mountains in the day.

Can you say what kind of stuff you're into for this---what you'd want to do/not do, etc. night life? crowds? scenery? soliatry beaches? party spots? getawy spots? etc. etc. etc.
That might help people narrow down their recommendations for you. The cool thing about the carribean is that there's so many different options out there, any and/or many of which could be taken in a long weekend.
