Hey does anyone know if Mid July through the end of July is a good time to go Trinadad/Tobago? I'm not sure if we would be hitting the hurricane season or if Tobago is far enough south to be a safe bet in terms of wather.
I'm really looking for a good inexpensive lay around on the beach, snorkel and drink beer kind of trip to take around mid July. I'm meeting up with a friend from NY and I'm coming from LA so we were hopeing to find someplace that would be good to meet without one of us having to be on a plane for 20 hours, otherwise I would just head towards Southeast Asia. Any recomendations/suggestions for places to go that time of year would be appreciated. -felix the travel cat the most radical act anyone can commit is to be happy. |

Trinidad and Tobago are south of where most hurricanes hit, but that an extremely hot time of year (the hottest, in fact). I would suggest the Cook Islands as a rational, interesting alternative: only 10 hours from LA.
