In which country/city, did you have the best burger, ever? If you're a vegetarian/vegan, then where did you have the best veggie burger?
My favorite burger was in Amsterdam at a place called Mister Coco's Lousy Food & Warm Beer. It was a kangaroo burger, and tasted amazing--similar to a bison burger, but with an added kick.
Any of the many hamburger joints in the greater Los Angeles area(Jim's Burgers 1,2,3, Galaxy Burger, etc, etc) that In-and-Out tries to copy. LA wrote the book on burgers.

I’m not generally part of the USA! USA! USA! crowd but on the question of burgers, the US is definitely the world leader. Not the frozen stamped out McD’s/BK version, but hand made ground beef burgers cooked on a grill. I don’t have a particular favorite but most bars and back yard grillers can put out a pretty tasty burger. There’s an (in)famous local version served here.
I never ate a lot of burgers on my travels but I’ve pretty much given up them up altogether. The ones I’ve had mostly ranged from disappointing to vile.

Our whole gang ate at MOS burger once while in Japan out of curiosity since we passed it every day on the way to work. The unanimous opinion was that it was similar but worse than WhiteCastle, and that even McDs was 1000 times better. It also cost us about $12 each and we were still hungry lol. But hey, someone must like'em or they wouldn't be be there.

The jucy lucy (pronounced juicy lucy) at matt's in minneapolis. Two glorious patties cooked with cheese in between them, but not in the conventional way. They use some sort of magic to infuse the cheese in between the burgers. so what looks like an odd shaped hamburger is actually a burger with melted cheese hiding inside,absolutely heaven. My close second place vote would have to be for the little stand in Intertaken Switz. It's right in the ost station, an almost trailer looking thing. I dont know if it was because i had eaten nothing but hostel pasta and kebobs for a month but that cheeseburger was maybe the most enjoyable of my life.

The best burgers in the world can be found right here in Chicago at Kuma's Corner. The burgers there are all named after heavy metal bands - there's the Metallica, the Slayer, the Judas Priest. But that's not what makes the burgers good; it just makes ordering even more fun. Kuma's Corner is not a very big place and I could never work there (I don't have the seemingly requisite tattoos). Be prepared to wait for a seat, whether at a table or at the bar. The place is always packed but it's so worth the wait!

I've been vegetarian for over twenty years, but even I was tempted by this place in Hiroshima.

You guys want one of the most cholesterol laden, artery-cloggin' burgers? Go to Dirty Dan's in Albany, NY and ask for the "Emmy Bull Burger". It's a few pounds of meat, topped with cheese, bacon, and a fried egg, for good measure.
Dirty Dan's is purely a truck stop place, open from 1AM - 6AM. Leave your dirty mouth at the door, as they have a strict "no profanity" rule (they will take your food away, give you your money back, and kick you out of the place if you curse enough times). Most people go there while drunk--hence the profanity rule. One of my friend's even downed two Emmy Bulls in one sitting--he was beyond wasted.
Fergburger, in Queenstown, makes the best burgers in New Zealand. Perhaps even the world. They're not overly greasy, just a bit sloppy, and are made from fresh local ingredients. My last time down that way I hitch hiked out of my way just to go to Ferg. It was so worth it.
