I leave on Monday to travel across the country, and my first major stop is Burning Man in NW Nevada starting Aug. 28.

I will be driving through NY, PA, pick up Route 70 in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Utah and Nevada.

I want to pick up some wine and alcohol for Burning Man, and am wondering what state might have the cheapest prices. Decent rum (Malibu, Bacardi or a good cheaper brand) and vodka (absolut, sky) are the main items on the list.

I'm not an alcoholic, I just want to have a few bottles to share with people at the week-long event. And I'm on a budget.

I'd appreciate any advice on cheaper places to shop.

And since I will continue on the road after BM, I'd appreiate tips on any other states/counties/stores with cheap adult beverages. THANKS!
