DeKalb Farmer’s Market – Decatur, Georgia (near Atlanta)
http://www.fabuloustravel.com/gourmet/travel/dekalb/dekalb.html http://www.dekalbfarmersmarket.com/ydfmtour.htm Has anybody every been here? There was an interesting story about the place on this PBS Farmer’s Market show. The place is enourmous, with food (and shoppers) from all over the world. It looks like a great time. |

Kyiv, Ukraine - near Kreshchatyik Street
There is a small street market of off the main street Kreshchatyik in the center of the city. I was there on a Saturday, but it might be running on Sunday as well. They have food, local wines (I think some of it from Moldova and VERY sweet), clothes, and a big vat of the local drink, Kvas—a sweet, syrupy drink kind of like coke, but not really. And at the end of the street they have a band playing some traditional Ukrainian music. Kyiv Market 1 Kyiv Market 2 Kvas Band |
