Two questions:

1. I am a vegetarian traveling to Brazil. I am planning on bringing an ample supply of Luna, Clif and PowerBars. Like, maybe 15 of them or so. Do you think I'll have a problem bringing these into Brazil? (To those who hate PowerBars: I think you have to run to like them. Personally, I find certain flavours of all of the above bars to be quite delicious.)

2. Has anyone ever had difficulty bringing food in or out of a country? If so, what was your experience.

Big Grin Thanks.

Brazil has large posters all over their airports saying that basically no foodstuffs are allowed into the country, including snack foods.

That said, I have entered Brazil 16+ times and have never been searched or questioned and have at times had whole suitcases full of culinary goodies for my friends there. BTW, fresh corn tortillas, pepperoni, and marshmallows are 3 things that are virtually non existant, and a 300 count bottle of aspirin from Costco etc. for $5. is worth well over $100 there. Smile
