Knows What a Schengen Visa Is

Hi

A few years back we went to the States and we ended up at Domino's pizza one night. There pizza is OK I guess but it was the spicy buffalo wings that caught our attention. It was spicy and acetous(?)...like vinegar had been used and they were delicious Bow Does anyone have any experience when it comes to making something like this at home? Got any recipes to share?

Regards
Gard

It is not very exotic, but you may have trouble finding the right hot sauce where you live. Anyway, there are no shortage of recipes, but it is basically just Louisiana hot sauce and butter. Look here.

Do a Google search. I'm sure you'll find zillions of recipies....
I use Tobasco...Tobasco hot sauce should be easy to get the world over.
Experiment (I do) make the first batch of Baltic hot wings...and start a Hooters Resturant.....

Hi

Yes, I know there are "zillions of recipies"...that is why it is great to get feedback from people with personal experience so that you don't have to go through many recipies to find something that is good :-)

In Winston-Salem NC, home of Texas Pete (oddly enough), we deep fry drumlets then douse on a warmed mixture of Texas Pete and butter. This is the same as Joe's, but I've never heard of Louisiana hot sauce, is there anything specific to it thats different from others? I'd say alot of North Carolinians would also substitute Ranch dressing for the blue cheese (not I!)

This is my favorite, simple buffalo wings recipe:

Buffalo Wings, simplest recipe:

1. Season the wings with salt and pepper after chopping it in 2.
2. Coat the wings in flour and fry until crispy
3. Melt butter in a saucepan, add tabasco and Knorr seasoning. (sometimes Lea & Perrins worcestershire works too), of course amount of spice is based on your own preference
4. Then remove the saucepan from the fire and toss the wings in the sauce , making sure to coat everything.
5. Whatever sauce is left, can be used for dipping.

Enjoy!

Whenever I'm home in Raliegh NC I grill drumsticks (more meat).
I'll add Tobasco (Texas Pete is just too weak) to some BBQ sauce and wrap in tinfoil so it doesn't burn/stick.
Dip in Ranch or Blue Cheese.
Louisiana hot sauce is similar to Texas Pete.
NOW...if you're adventurous order some Dave's Insanity Hot Sauce....that'll keep you hopping!

I grew up in Buffalo. Get a big bottle of Franks Louisiana Hot Sauce. Melt a stick of butter in a sauce pan, add the bottle of Franks and warm. Deep fry wings then put in large bowl. Pour sauce over wings, and shake bowl to coat all the wings. Serve with celery and blue cheese dressing- that is authentic Buffalo wings!

Franks Red Hot Sauce and a stick of melted butter is the way to go. I was taught that was the "secret" in culinary school. Don't tell.
