I'd like to take a gay cruise. Considering the QE2 on RSVP. Would anybody comment on their experiences on gay cruises? What's good? What's bad? Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Greg. Beware! Suspicious I think gay cruises may be highly addictive! My friends that have taken them have become serial cruisers. Cracking Up

The gay couple that I know swears by Atlantis. Every year, they take at least one cruise. Last summer, they started on one cruise, and when that finished, they went on another one, and when the second one was over, they did it again, one more time, for a total of three cruises, back-to-back!!!

The other couple, lesbians, use Olivia. They just got back from their second cruise in three months!

I only hear good things from both couples. No bad things at all. They both like that "they can relax and be themselves".

I don't know anything about the one you mentioned. Good luck, and have fun.

i was going to take the rsvp caribbean princess cruise when they offered 1/2 price for rooms. i figured a balcony room for $2045 (the per person price) seemed like a good deal. rsvp's agent, globaltraveldestinations, quoted me the per person price. also i know of two couples who got the per person price for their room. but when i tried to sign up i was told i'd have to pay a single supplement for my 1/2 priced room, which the couples i know of did not have to pay. they wanted an extra $350 from me even though i'd only be one person in the same priced room as the couples.

i am not about to pay 17% more for accommodations just because i am single. i consider the policy to be completely discriminatory against single gay people and so i highly recommend boycott of rsvp services.

i'm pretty sure that i can get laid, without getting screwed, for a whole lot less than $2500.

Hey Novice. $350 is nothing. Many cruiselines charge double if you are a single person.

I am a lover of cruising and I think all gay cruises are grossly overpriced. I would say the best thing to do is get a group of gay and lesbian friends together and have a group cruise. You get enough people and you can get a complimentary room. You can have the comfort of being surrounded by friends and other gay people without paying the huge fee. Any cruise I go on is a gay cruise. There are also FOD (friends of dorothy) meetings onboard many cruises for you to meet other gay cruisers.

If you want more information about cruising in general there is a great site www.cruisecritic.com you should check out. There is a whole section on the message boards for gay and lesbian cruisers.
