I guess there are no quick and easy answers to the funding problem (unless you happen to inherit, marry well or win the lottery).

One would be to create a thought out blog, keep it updated and putting articles on it. Then add a little advertising.

This is not an easy option, it takes time, creativity, patience and persistance. I have not started a text one yet, but Panoramic Earth started out in that manner as a kind of photo blog on London. You will probably find that you go through various phases of excitement, depression and despair as things move forwards, but keep it going and you never know where you may end up.

...am still looking for a good way, to put photos online. My Flickr account is over its limit already. Picasa Web offers even less storage.

Is there maybe any nice and comfortable photo plugin for Wordpress? Then I could host the pictures @ my host and just plug them back into my website.

Hm............ Confused

Cheers,
Chris

You might ask around on the travel photography forum to see what people think over there... Personally, I love Flickr - but I also paid for the "pro" account so I wouldn't have to worry about limits. I don't know if you've already tried places like Snapfish or Kodak Gallery, and I don't know if they meet your needs, but there are the links if you want to try them. Smile

The services Jessie mentions are good, also Shutterfly.

But, Flickr Pro is only like 25$/year...2$/month. Well worth it.

What a great idea! That must have taken you a fair while to put together. I hope it works out for you!

If it's just storage you're after, travelpod offers everyone unlimited space to store their photos and videos. They are stored against blog entries, so you could create a photo blog of your trip's photos. Just a thought!

So please tell me how the advertising thing works - I'm new to this, but have started the discipline of blogging this year.
