I'm having this complete surreal moment. I remember when I started 2.5 years ago and the trip seemed like it was eons away, and saving the money seemed like an impossibility. Now that its only 40 quickly passing days away.

I can't believe that I have to sit at my desk all day and do work! I don't know how I will stay focused!

That is awesome, and inspiring.
I've begun saving money for my trip/to pay off debts.
I had a hard time saving before I realized my desire to travel. But, now that I have a goal to reach, It's much more real, more tangible.
I think that being obsessed with something that costs out the wazoo (travelling) has made a saver out of me, and not a spender...
Congratulations on reaching your goal. It's always very gratifying to kick life's ass!

Congratulations! Well done you.

I know that feeling of being in a wilderness of working and waiting. After 26 months I'm now 378 (hopefully) days away from having the same experience you're having now. No need to stay focused now on anything but the trip. I intend to spend the last month at work cackling at my screen like a lunatic Smile

That's SO exciting!!!!

I can't even think about that--I'm having mini-trips until I can go away, but one day, I too will be laughing and screeching with joy!

Me too, me too, me too. I have my RTW account which is coming along quite well, but I still have a couple of trips planned for this year. I cannot sit idle until the big bang.

I can only imagine how Kathryn is feeling, must be like a buzz surrounding you, and extreme giddiness. hehe Are you sorta frightened? How long will you be gone?

I've been sorta emotional. I feel like I have to finish my to do list and spend as much time as possible with everyone.

I'm worried sick about giving my notice at work on Wednesday. I just can't wait until that is over with. I'm hoping that will lead to just jumping up and down excitement.

My first stop is London.

I was thinking that we could have a meet up on March 15. Do you think that's a good idea?
