My cruisazy college friend is organizing a pub crawl today through much of Boston, starting exactly one hour from now, and originally I said that I would go.

And now I am saying no.

From now to 2:00 AM, that would probably be around 8 beers (on the modest side), plus dinner.

That could be $75.00 I am saving today.

And it's all going to my RTW '09-'11 fund -- $3400 saved since September and counting!

I'm glad that when I am facing temptation like this, I can come back to this community and seeing you guys deprive yourself in similar ways.

(I won't completely deprive myself, though -- I think I might go see one Oscar-nominated movie instead. A matinee, though, not a night show.)

Crazy? Not quite.
It's all in the name of an interesting life.

That's good,
and exactly where you save the money.

I didn't go out this weekend either because I'm sick.

Sick = saving money, but the catch is you can't get sick enough to go to the doctor or worse, because there goes the money.

I'd say work too jobs. The second keeps me busy most nights and so tired most others that I don't even wanna go out. I give myself a budget each week of money that I can just waste. I don't usually spend half of it.
