Thinking to head out to Washington State in July or August, and want to do some backcountry camping in Olympia National Park, which I've heard is incredibly beautiful.

Does anyone have any recommendations or recollections for me on Olympia?

Thanks.

Drove around the park/peninsula several years ago. From Seattle west along the edge of the water you can access the north end ot ht epark with a drive in and up. Gives a good view of the very rugged interior. Don't know about camping there or trails in.
Around west and then south along the coast you come to the temperate rain forest section. Campgrounds there as I remember, along with signs about how to say hello to cougars while walking the trails.
