Hey i'll be in NY for paddy's day 15th - 18th and then flying to vegas with some friends for another few days. My friends are then flying back to NY and then home to ireland.
It will be the start of my RTW trip so i won't be going home..I will be in the US for a month.
Was just wondering should i stay on the westcoast after i get to vegas and spend my 3 weeks there, or should i go back with my friends, see them off and then spend my 3 weeks on the east?
Is there any festivals on i should know about? I think i'll be in Vegas for spring break which is fine by me but anything else on around then ?

That time of year is the NCAA tourny...which means, if you are in Vegas on a weekend, there may be lots of peeps and high prices. Book now.

Since you are already in Vegas, I would suggest perhaps going down to Phoenix and catching a spring training game, then making your way up the west coast (Phoenix to San Diego to LA to SF to PDX to Seattle to Vancouver).

That's what I would do, anyway.

If you can get there, you've got to check out Lake Havasu AZ during spring break. Havasu gets crazy during every 3 day holiday weekend (memorial day, labor day, 4th of july) and also during spring break.

I'm going to google for the ASU (arizona state university) spring break schedule.

Most of the AZ schools should have their spring break around the same time but other schools in the region should keep Havasu lively all month long.

A lot of people from Vegas, LA, and Phoenix take their boats to Havasu and tie them together in an area called "Copper Canyon". It's like a big floating party city. If you can't rent a boat or jet ski you can usually catch a ride with other people by throwing in some money.
