This Sunday 6/8. What to do NEAR the airport, and where to sleep cheap?
I don't want the hassle/expense of going into the City this time... Well maybe, if it's easy and cheap enough. Do the NYC Boots have any ideas? I may just sleep in the airport after seeing the area hotel prices.

There's the Tour de Queens on Sunday at 9 from Flushhing Meadows Park (Sky Train to Jamaica, E to Jackson Heights, 7 to 111th St/Willits Point). I'm doing registration and set-up, (not riding) so I can let you use my bike. Send me a PM if you're interested. The tour's free, and I can wield my influence as an organizer to get you in.

I don't know what to tell you about accomodation though -- I'm already having 4 guests.

Another option is the Yankees; they're playing the Central Division's last place Royals at 1:05.

Haci, thank you very much for the offer!
Other than dinking around in a friend's driveway, I haven't had my butt on a bike in 20 years. Not sure about jumping off a plane into a 20 mile ride.. Smile Would have liked to meet you though if you weren't busy that day. Maybe next time. Good luck with the tour!

Just as an update, JFK sucks to spend the night in. They throw you out of all the terminals at 11pm and force you over to terminal 4 which is open all night. There are scarce places to lie down, and no carpeted areas. Avoid if possible.
