Howdy,

I transited through the USA on my way to Canada on the 2nd January this year, and got my 90 day green card which runs out on the 1st April. The Canadian immigration lady took the card out of my passport. Will I be able to get another green card when I return to the USA on the 17th April, or do I need a real visa?

D'oh! Knew I forgot something. I'm a UK citizen.

Bad form to reply to one's own posts, I know, but I had a look on the US immigration website (I probably should have done this first!) and it seems that there are no exemptions on getting a 90 day VWP entry, even if the previous one has recently expired.
