Knows What a Schengen Visa Is |
I'm planning to drive up to Walden Pond this spring, a copy of Thoreau's book in hand, for a weekend of simple inspiration. Has anybody been there/done that who can offer suggestions of where to stay and eat or do and see while I'm there?

Walden Pond should be a nice place for a walk in the spring.
Check out Colonial Inn Seems like a nice place to stay. Just up the street is The Old Manse Former home of Ralph Waldo Emerson as well as Nathaniel Hawthorne. You might want to brush up on them as well. A little further on is Minuteman National Park One town over Lincoln has The Decordova Museum and Sculpture Park _______________________________ |

Watch out for the snapping turtles if you decide to go for a swim in the pond. That's the advice from a native. We didn't actually go swimming - we just walked around the pond. It really is beautiful. Be sure to walk all the way around. The side farthest from the road leading to the pond is the best part.
