Lost in Place |
Ok, I only have 4 days in the city in March. What do I absolutely need to see/do??? I'm obviously doing the St. Patricks Day Parade, and I'm going to a show at Carnegie Hall. This isn't really my kind of trip, (especially since I'm still recovering from a broken leg, so I get extremely tired/in pain with too much walking) but I want to make the most of it.
I'm a musician, and I'm really into Jazz, and I also like art and outdoorsy stuff. Please give me your suggestions!!!! Thanks! "Do or do not. There is no try." -Yoda |

All That and a Bag of Doritos |
Hi Ashley.
Check out Christina-in-Brooklyn's cheap & free guide to NYC. It is a great start. There are a bunch of threads started on NYC with some great info. A quick search will bring 'em up. Those would give you an awesome start. Have fun! |

The Birdland on W 44th and 8th is a great spot for Jazz. Depending on the type of art you're into - we have a museum for everything. I love the MoMa, and it's free friday evening. The Met has an impressive collection and it's donataion only (pay whatever you want).
I'm afraid we're not much for outdoor activities in March. But of course check out Central Park! ------------------------------ "Jazz personality, G mentality" |
