Knows What a Schengen Visa Is |
I would recommend that everyone postpone trips to Northern California for right now- we have hundreds of fires burning-many out of controll and heavy smoke!!

FYI, This is what it looks like right now.
She is right. Come another time. Arnold has just called in the National Guard to help with the fires. |

I swear that's the last time I throw my cigarette butt out the car window.

Today, I drove from the Bay up to Red Bluff and back. It was gray the entire way. In the Sacramento valley, one has maybe one mile visibility at all times. Visiting fire trucks are still heading north. It's ugly out there.

There are mandatory evacuations happening 7 miles from my house, and pre-evac notices happening less than 4 miles away. The air tankers and choppers are grounded because of the smoke, and the fires rage out of control.

If there's no way to avoid a trip you have planned to Northern California, I recommend heading to San Francisco instead.
Our skies are definitely smoky - It's not even worth taking on a lot of outdoor activity or taking in the views, but it's safe here and there's enough indoor entertainment that you won't have a completely ruined NoCal trip. |
