Is the ferry building in San Francisco worth a stop? What's there? Is it the type of place that would be good as a lunch stop?

Yes! Oodles of interesting and unusual food stands and shops. It is ideal as a lunch stop.

Yup, very cool to poke through.
We found the food rather expensive, so didn't eat there, but it is a beautiful building with some interesting things inside. Probably better when it isn't freezing and raining and winter; I would assume then there would be more fruit, etc. stands outside. There are usually some art vendors across the street at the Embarcadero, as well. |

The quality and variety of food is incredible, but it is pricey. Very good views of the bay and the bay bridge from outside.
