Help me construct a list of things to do in the Washington outdoors. Mostly I'm looking for 2-5 day backpacking locations. But anything spectacular that you would like to contribute is welcome.

Deception Pass

beautiful, cheap, has a nice beach and a small lake for kids to swim, lots of trails, not far off I5.

Mount Baker

all sorts of activities, skiing and boarding in the winter, hiking and biking in the summer - 45 minutes from Bellingham, stop at the little Mexican cafe restaurant on the south side of the road for awesome margaritas and better food.

Olympic National Park - it would take at least 2 - 5 days to drive and hike around the Peninsula, and visit all of the beaches.

The Alpine Lakes Wilderness is a great area to backpack for a night or more.

Third Beach and around, Olympic National Park Coastline.

Orcas Island, Moran State Park or if you can, the outlying State Park Island (you can have a whole one to yourself during the off-season).

I imagine there's something in Eastern Washington, but probably not...

There are lots of things to do in Eastern Washington! Tons of backpacking and/or fishing. Check out Surprise Lake. It's about 11 or 12 miles one way, great fishing, but pretty hard to get to. If your adventuresome, it's really and awesome place.
