Long-term parking at SFO is $13 a day, going up to $14 on July 1st. You can't take public transportation there???

I usually park here, but can't we just leave your car in San Diego?

There are no hotels that offer free parking for 2 months - any "stay, park & fly" deal is generally limited to max. 2 weeks free parking. A flight from San Diego to San Francisco is much cheaper than 2 months long term parking anywhere near San Francisco airport.

Actually now I live Northern Nevada (need to update my profile) and doesn't appear to be any easy/affordable solution or means to make commute from Reno/Tahoe area to SFO. Unless I got real lucky and found a reliable ride on the 10th of July.

Solution I've come up with is eliminate parking issue SFO by renting car one-way car.

Thanks all for the feedback!

How close are you to AMTRAK? You could take AMTRAK to Richmond BART and then BART to The City, stay in a hostel and then continue to SFO on BART.

Hell, for what it will cost to rent a car, I oughta come there and fetch you.

You may also want to consider Greyhound from Reno to San Francisco (city) for less than $40 one-way, and then BART to the airport.

Looked into AMTRAK - unless I'm missing something there are no direct all the way thru trains from Reno to the East Bay. Part of the route would mean switching over to a bus, then I'd still need to get from Richmond to the airport. By the time it all added up ( not even considering the added inconvenience) I might save a 100 bucks over cost of rental car so for me not worth it.

Greyhound I'd save just a few more bucks and it's more direct, just one additional transfer from downtown SF to the airport but for me the added convenience of just driving straight to the airport and not having to deal with long term parking is worth the money considering the options I have.

BTW 'static' if you can pick me up in Gardnerville Nevada and drop me off at the airport for $178 (cost of rental car) including your gas, then I'm open to the idea.
