im interested in going to school in europe. i know a guy going to school in the netherlands for roughly 700 bones a semester.

anyone know if this is the normal rate? seems really cheap for an international student. also, does anyone know how financial aid works for that? can we still apply for the FAFSA and get funded that route?

Unfortunately, there's no such thing as normal when it comes to tuition in Europe. Costs vary widely. Especially for American students.

For international students, the tuition is generally much higher than it is for subsidized EU students attending the same university. Seven hundred dollars a semester is fairly cheap for an international student, and isn't really typical. Much of the time, you can expect to pay just a little less than you would at an American university. Some schools, however, significantly cheaper. It depends on where you want to live, what you want to study, and/or how prestigious a university you want to go to.

Many European universities are eligible for FAFSA loans. Once you've figured out what schools you're interested in, you can look them up here to see if they're eligible.
