Hey all,

I'm studying at the TU Delft, Netherlands. I have most Fri/Sat/Sun free throughout my MSc program...
Any trip ideas for 3d/2n from here?
Dont have much money (i'm a foriegn student studying without aid after all ...

Also, i get about 2 weeks free (Dec 25 till Jan 7th). Want to see Europe cheap then. Any ideas/companions?

Unfortunately, if you're looking to get out of the Netherlands for the weekend on the cheap, Delft is a bit far from Eindhoven (which, via RyanAir, offers inexpensive flights to a number of European cities.) Occasionally, however, you can find cheap flights directly out of Amsterdam.

Or are you looking for some fun in and around the Netherlands itself?

Thanks for the Eindhoven tip! I might try that on the occasional weekend. Although some ideas to spend the weekend nicely in the Netherlands itself are most welcome. Any special places/things to do? I come from India and so I am already in a foreign country, so to speak

Be careful about Eindhoven. Even from Amsterdam, its about a 20 euro train trip, and then theres a bus to take. If the flights leave early in the morning you just may not make the flight. Its best, I'm told, to book a hostel IN eindhoven the night before.

My dutch friend cringed when he found out my flight left from eindhoven. I found out why later. Just be careful about your flight times, and the lenngth of time it takes to get to the CITY of eindhoven, then catch transport to the airport.

Aside from that, the flight went alright.
