I'm starting to think about trips for my spring Break (03/24-04/01), and I really love Asia. The cheapest flights I've found so far have been to Thailand (about $650), and I figure if it costs the same to fly to Europe or South America, then why not go to Thailand. But then the little voice inside tells me that Thailand is just toooooo far to only go for a week. Any thoughts?

Also, anyone know of any other SE Asia destinations that are also really cheap to fly to, and really inexpensive to get by (I will be a true budget traveler if I go)

Thailand is pretty far to go for just a week. I have a couple friends that travel there regularly, and from what I've been told, it takes AT LEAST 4-5 days just for your body to adapt to the time difference. I would wait til you have at least two weeks to spare before venturing over there.
Also, if you can find flights to South America for only $650, let me know where you're finding them!!!
