Well, I've made it safe after a bit of an adventure getting to the island. In the less than one day I've been here its done nothing but rain and be cold. Though I keep being told its been a mild winter in Ireland. I am considering writing about my adventures over the month I will be in Ireland. Either way, I'm happy to be here and happy to say hello from Ireland.

If kissing rocks isn't your cup-of-tea then go grope the crusader in St. Michan's Crypt - near Temple bar

How long you staying in Dublin for ?

Might be heading over that way in the new year - there is a painting in the national gallery that I've been trying to see for the past 10 years, it's so fragile taht they only have it on display for a few weeks every year - I miss it every time.

I'm hoping for sixth time lucky.

If you're still around then how about a few beers ?

I am in Dublin, I don't have a laptop but I'm staying at my boyfriends house. I don't come for short visits because 1. Its a long ways to go. 2. I like visiting the boyfriend for longer. and 3. I like to sleep

As for that beer, I don't drink. I've been told its a crime to come to Ireland and not drink, but well this is my fourth time and I've not been arrested yet Whistle

that is mild. We just got 3 feet of snow in a day and a half here in Vermont. *shrugs* I was in Ireland in the summer and it was still cold/cloudy/and rainy a LOT. You'll get used to it.

I cycle to work in dublin, it was a remarkably mild winter - even compared to last year there was barely a day I remember where there was either frost on the ground - compared to last year anyways. April was a cracking month - temps were about 20 degrees for a good part of it. May has been the backlash month - its gone back to the low to mid teens which is really crap. But hey you don't come here for the weather!!

As for drink - you won't be arrested - just tell them that you had 98 percent of your liver removed (and that they couldn't find the other 2% )due to an almighty session you were on back in the 90s. Watch the respect people will give you then Smile

that and the weather will pick up soon enough - its given bad for the weekend but after that it'll lift. Try and score yourself a ticket for the big game in croker sunday. Should be a cracker!! even if you don't like sport the atmosphere should make it worthwhile

I didn't get around to reading about the game until well after it was over. I'm up now because I think the pizza I had for lunch is now trying to kill me. It was so yummy at the time. Now..I regret it greatly.
