I'm flying Dublin to copenhagen at 6:30 am on a weekday.
What's the cheapest way to get to the airport? Of course I'm not sure where i will be staying (i'm hoping to couchsurf)
How much would a taxi be from downtown?
TIA

I've got a very feasible and cheap solutions: sleep in the airport.

I slept there before an early morning flight to London and there were tons of other young travelers sleeping there as well. It's free, of course, and totally allowed--you won't be alone, and you'll be safe.

At that time of the morning your best bet is the aircoach but a word of warning be at the bus stop way earlier than the bus you plan to get I've got it from Suffolk street twice and both times its been around 40 minutes early-it gets out to the airport fairly fast (at night) about 30 mins maybe a bit longer. a taxi is about 20(cheap) to 28 euro from the city centre so since the aircoach is 6 or 7 euro for a ticket its generally better to flag a taxi if there's a few people (and i'd recommend if your going for the air coach option have cash on you for a taxi in case it all messes up with the bus)

on sleeping in dublin airport-the food there is really really expensive!

thanks for the ideas. Those super cheap flights always have a "price" Red Face)
If only there were a way to contact the other people taking that flight and arrange some taxi sharing activity. Would you check a box on your airline reservation allowing them to post your e'mail to fellow travellers on that flight? Call it Wingman

greendude, i agree with manktelr on this. the Aircoach is the most reliable bet at that hour of the morning. Check their website http://www.aircoach.ie
like everything in ireland - don't put your absolute faith in timetables.
sometimes though, if the aircoach doesn't arrive on O'Connell st, one of the taxis will offer ppl waiting a fixed rate to get to the airport. or, you could find ppl at the aircoach stop and see if you can negotiate a taxi price for the group.....

If your flight leaves at 6:30 what time do you have to get up to make it there? Why not just sleep in the airport?

Edit: just realized you probably have already taken the flight. Razz
