Right, so one of my flatmates is writing a novel and is entering a competition to hopefully get it published. Now we are all filmmakers so we are stuck in the screenwriter's idea of a synopsis vs a treatment...
My question is, just to help the guy out, what is the proper format for a synopsis? He's required to do a 2-4 page synopsis and I am assuming it is a general run down of the story and characters. How detailed should a synopsis be (as a treatment is a scene by scene blow of the story)... Anyone know either the answer or know of some great resources I can give to him? delara |
