Thanks to Carrie at the Business Travel Logue for the pointer to this writing contest:

quote:
Zero Halliburton, a luggage company, is running a contest for the remainder of December for the best lost luggage horror story. Whether the airline has lost your luggage forever (like the stuff that goes to Unclaimed Baggage in Alabama) or damaged your stuff or if you’ve accidentally swapped with another traveler (like Meet the Parents), you can submit your story of 200 words or less.

The grand prize is a $1500 travel voucher, and then there are 10 first prizes of Zero Halliburton luggage pieces. Good luck!!

Well, all that's ever happened to me was once a bag got lost and they dropped it off at my house the next day. Oh and another time I stopped a guy who was walking off with my bag by accident (same bag). Maybe I'll make something up for the contest if I'm feeling bored.

It's too bad I wasn't on this site sooner, I've got a few.
A suggestion, if you're traveling with your favorite vibrator,
make sure you take the batteries out first, otherwise it's likely to be mistaken for a bomb.

Yes there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on....
