To all the ladies out there who, like me, are trying desperatly to quell the wonderlust bubbling underneath their surface, i recommend a book worth getting your hands on.

'Women Travel' is part of the Rough Guides 'Specials' series and consists of more than 60 firsthand accounts of women travelling in all sorts of countries across the globe.

Now this may sound like some kind of advert or whatever but I promise you, from someone who cant sit for more than a minute without drifting into dream-like fantasies about her forthcoming RTW, this book is a true life-saver.

Not only did it save me from the depths of despair when i realised that no matter how much dreaming and doodling i did, the pace of time remains the same and it would be another few months before i was off, but it also gave me a beautiful insight into the way women write about such extrordinary things like world travel.

So, before i ramble off in my own delirious state, just want to say to all you girls waiting for your dreams to come to true (which believe me THEY DO!), read this book, or just two pages or three or four...and see just how it relaxes you into a content, and relatively PATIENT state of mind...most of all..

be prepared to be inspired.

Indeed they do. Their newest one is entitled Sand In My Bra and is very, very funny.

You can read a sample chapter for free here.
