That's pretty cheeky of you to come here and troll for stories. Get stuffed.

Think of this post as the best form of praise.....

What really pisses me off, is sites sending me emails asking me to write for them. It is obvious that they got my email from bootsnall. some even begin with, we shall pay you and then you go to the fine print which says, well not for now.... yuck....

Yeah, we've heard of things like that happening before. Some are cool, some are kinda spammy; you're always welcome to forward things like that to me and Chris too, if you want.

You know, I've never been too bothered about eds coming in and mentioning open markets - as long as they're good to writers (though I've no way of evaluating that straightaway). Has anyone gotten in touch with folks like above and had good experiences, gotten some clips, gigs, etc out of it?

We have much the same policies you do. We have an editor and designer so to help make sure the articles look professional and are well written. We just want to give writers a way to showcase there writing as well as giving them some feedback and editing for there pieces. Our goal is to work with the writers not to take anything from them. We are not out to make a profit from there work we just enjoy traveling and started this as a way to learn more about the world while we are stuck at our jobs that pay the bills. Thanks for letting us post here, we are not trying to take your writers just offering the writers another place to write.
Thanks

Hey man, h_man: there --> their in your post. There's (sic) some of that free editing for ya.

(sorry to be rude. 1. I just drank a whisky and 2. I find that particular error rather grating).

P.S. Great job on the website! You have a lot of interesting stories posted.

I wonder...why the insults? This isn't the first time that an outside site has offered their services to wanna be travel writers. Whisky or no, what's the big deal?

I think it's great that this designer found quality submissions on this site and seeks the same talent on his/hers.

Just another travel addict trying to get Out of dodge...
