that is a good one, shoes.
in other ogden nash news, I took a video home from the library yesterday for my children - it was hyped as lots of animals cavorting to Saint-Saens Carnival of Animals interspersed with Ogden Nash poems. What it didn't mention is the music was played by the Mormon Tabernacle Youth Symphony in 1970's powder blue tuxedos and Gary Berghoff (Radar on MASH) narrated the poems (badly) - when he wasn't narrating he was skipping through the San Diego zoo with lots of exclusively vanilla colored children! it was produced by the church of latter day saints! a surreal viewing experience. I've been a great fan of Ogden Nash ever since my mother introduced me to his work when I was a kid. It's the ONLY poetry I ever got into or could read a whole collection of.
I may be poetically stinted, but Ogden is GOOD stuff. _______________________________________________ www.WhereIsJustine.com - Travel Is a Lifestyle "The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live." –Flora Whittemore |
