I think when travel writing, you also have to take into account peoples ever shortening attention spans.

For sure Ethan. Me too - if I see a long article on the Net I'm so lazy I kind of think twice before reading it. I'm more readily drawn to shorter pieces. And this is coming from someone who writes a lot of long drawn out articles!

If you have a interesting story but long...do part I and Part II. Just the length sometimes puts me off. But if the first two para are good..then I read on..otherwise bye bye.
