About five years ago, I applied to lead a private rafting trip on the Grand Canyon. The rafting trip is about 23 days long and takes you through the heart of the Grand Canyon.

The waiting list takes about 10 to 13 years with thousands of people on the list and only a few hundred private trips allowed per year. I am about half way there, and still think about it every year! Will it ever happen?

Anyone else ever rafted the heart of the Grand Canyon?

By the way, I am rafting the North Fork of the Salmon River in the Pan Handle of Idaho this summer - 100 miles, 100 rapids. I am so excited!
