Kudos to you, girl!!! That is an awesome goal! As for me, I think I've decided that I like oxygen
Before you do Denali, have a look at Aconcagua. It's the highest peak outside of Asia at 22,830ft. Even though Denali is lower, it is technically much more difficult than Aconcagua. It would be a good one to do to build experience. Sean is looking into doing Aconcagua at the end of next year. I physically can't do Aconcagua, so that rules me out. But I told him that I would train with him. So I think we'll probably do some mountaineering courses sometime next year...I'll keep you posted. I know there are courses and mountains to climb in your area! |

If you are going to do 8000 meters consider doing all 8000 of them by starting at sea level
I am not saying you have to Goran Kropp the thing but maybe hop on a bike in Chittagong, ride through Bangladesh, up north into India cross over into Nepal/Tibet and on to base camp. That would be pretty cool. |

I once walked 8000 meters in one day. It was pretty interesting.
As for climbing that high, my heart says yes, my muscles and lungs just say no at about 4500 meteres. I get altitude sickness. More power to you!! |
