When I was 15 I saw a poster of the Matterhorn in my dentist office. Something clicked inside me and I decided right then and there that I was going to climb it.
I've never climb anything in my life other then a few trees. So how do I go about doing this. Do I need to start with small mountains, and "work my way up" (no pun intended). I know there are organized treks, but how much of a beginner can you be? I need to know because my 15-year old inner self is getting antsy. Thanks! ------------------------------ "Jazz personality, G mentality" |

check out 'mt everest base camp' further down in this section. also..
http://www.ivo.se/mike/matter.html http://www.mounteverest.net/expguide/dream.htm on the left.. though it's on everest, the basic levels cover what beginners should do. start taking rock/mountain climbing classes and climb a couple other mountains first before you try this one. have fun! . . . Xoom,
Thanks so much for the great links. They helped a lot. I'm signing up for a rock climbing class here in the wilds of NYC. Rachel ------------------------------ "Jazz personality, G mentality" |
