Has anyone learnt to sky-dive abroad?

I am going to South America, NZ, Australia, South Asia & China.

Where would be the best place to do this?

Thanks!

Australia or New Zealand out of the list you posted. In Australia check out http://www.apf.asn.au/main.aspx. In New Zealand, check out http://www.nzpf.org/.

Although I didn't 'learned' abroad, I have some experience skydiving abroad. Check out the drop zone websites and don't assume that the best website equals the best drop zone. If you can, get referrals from locals and take your time deciding where to learn.

Have fun!!

i did my AFF with http://www.skydiveperth.com.au

its in perth, australia if you are going there.

The thing with skydiving is that it is heavily regulated so courses are pretty much the same all over the world. That means that if you do 3 jumps at one place, then move, your fourth jump will be exactly the same no matter where you do it. the plus side of doing an entire AFF course in one place is that you would proberbly get a discount.

Kind of true, but not quite. If you do some AFF in the US and then try to complete AFF in the UK, you will have to start all over again. Canada structures skydiving training slightly differently, as does Australia. Basically, finish your basic license at whatever country you start in and make sure you have a license recognized by the FAI (http://www.fai.org/).
