If you are a real backpackers/hiker, and want to test out a new Mountain Hardwear product, check out the Exodus Tester Team. You have to do the following:

  • Plan and execute a backpack trip 7 days or longer, preferably on one of our National Trails during the spring or summer of 2006

  • Document your trip in words and pictures for publication for their website

  • Provide product feedback to the Mountain Hardwear equipment development team
  • Suggested: plan and execute a trail stewardship project on the National Trail of your choice
    .

Don't send in an application if you want a free backpack. You need to be serious about testing out their product and providing good feedback. Good luck! I am submitting my app today.

Thanks Donovan! My computer's jacked, so I'm having a hard time downloading the application. I'm all over that though, let us know if you see anything else like this...

Hooray! We got it. My hiking parter and I are officially part of the Exodus Tester Team!

Thanks so much to Donovan for hooking us up with this application and to "the gang at Mountain Hardwear" for giving me a brand new $300 pack!

I put in a lot of photos including these ones, but I think that the fact that only about 40 people have ever done the PNT was the tidbit that got us in.

Sorry you didn't get selected. Where are you going for your trip?

Ooops. I didn't read the whole article. But I guess there are some minor flaws in the pack.

We had some lamination failure on some early hipbelts, but that was corrected long ago and the packs are fine.

Really so if I call to complain about a product, it would be you on the line lol. "Ummmm hi, I purchased a pair of underwear from you guys, but they are totally chaffing me, what would you recommend? Is there some sort of cream for this? Can I send them in to you for a refund?"

Which reminds me, I saw a pair of underwear at the REI Garage sale...
